2001 – NAACP Trailblazers Award - In honor and recognition of dedication and service to help disadvantaged and at-risk youth.

2002 – Minerva Award – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Prince William County Alumnae Chapter

2003 – The Youthful Spirits – Certificate of appreciation for support of their ministry for youth.

Accomplishments

In the past sixteen years, C.I.T.Y. has:

• Provided over $100,000 in scholarships and other educational assistance
• Sponsored 44 field trips to colleges, universities, museums and sporting events
• Provided mentorship and other support to over 1000 youth and young adults
• Sponsored athletic teams and provided funds for youth to attend athletic camps
• Provided spiritual activities such as bible study and gospel programs
• Provided tutoring in basic skills and college preparation
  

86 cents of every dollar directly supported programs and activities for the youth.

We appreciate the support that local churches, businesses and individuals have provided to the boys, girls, young men and young women of C.I.T.Y. We could do nothing if not for the love, grace and mercy of our Lord and continued assistance from our supporters. C.I.T.Y. is also members of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the United Way. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. We pray for the continued support for this ministry for our youth, and pray that others will join us, or a similar organization.
